new paris, new releases and new found glory

i see a lot of these other blogs posting like 6 or 7 posts a day. wtf mang? don't you guys have jobs?

oh right, you don't. someday we will be that cool, i swear it.

anyway, looks like paris from paris hilton is gonna sell about 90k first week. with all the marketing for that record, the break even must be at 1.2 or something, but i guess 90k isn't a bad start. inside the cd (separate from the liner notes) is a little pull out advertisement for some of her other projects. get your own slice of paris style by picking up her perfume "heiress by paris hilton," her handbags "paris hilton handbag collection," and of course her watches "ph watches by paris hilton." she also thanks tom whalley in the notes by calling him, "the most handsome exec in the business." so, that's how you got the deal! gross.

outkast's record came out too. slash once said that gnr's cover of "sympathy for the devil" was the sound of band breaking up during a song. this is the album version of that. sorry boys, atliens was a long time ago.

also coming out this week decomposer from the matches on epitaph. i don't really know anything about this band, but the credits on the back of the album cracked me up. "produced by tim armstrong, mark hoppus, john feldmann, nick hexum, brett gurewitz," and a few other dudes ive never heard of. "hey, im in the matches and we got a bunch of punk rock dudes from 1994 to produce our record." lame.

cursive, danity kane, lamb of god and kelis all put out records this week. can't wait for that tour.

oh - new found glory just covered justin timberlake's "cry me a river." you have no idea how bad i want to talk smack about this.....but it's actually pretty good. check the video out here.

alright...cya kids.
mc.
