Who doesn't love YouTube? Since it gets tiring writing (and reading) text all the time, I figured I'd take advantage of the beauty that is YouTube and hook you up with some of the gems I've come across. You're welcome you ungrateful asshat.
There's no better way to kick this off than with video of the self-proclaimed 'damn, I look good' singer of Panic! at How Bad We Suck getting hit in the face with a bottle during their performance at Reading. Wow, talk about a dream come true. I think I've had dreams about this dude getting whacked in the face with a bottle every night for months.
Next up is MCR. As you may or may not know they're 'debuting' their new single 'We Are The Black Parade' during the MTV Video Music Awards. There's been a lot of talk about what this track will sound like as well as whether or not they'll be able to pull it off live. Well, let me save you some time. Here it is from their performance at SXSW in March.
I mentioned Saosin a couple of posts ago. I've listened to the new album a few times and I have to admit that it's growing on me. I'm not quite sure if this is because it's a legitimately good record or because there hasn't been a good record released in about 2 months. I'm still working on a review for you all, but here's one of the tracks off the album, complete with some Anthony Green pics in the montage. Nice work, dumbass.
30 Seconds to Mars is up for the MTV2 award tonight. Part of me wants to see them win so Leto can give a fake Oscar speech. (Sorry Mr. Catalano, TBS will win out in the end) But in a classic moment that I have to admit that I love, here's Leto letting you know how he really feels about wishing Trent Reznor 'happy birthday' on video. At least he knows what I would have called him if he really did it. Tomo, you queer.
We've been giving Aiden a hard time around here but the truth is that they're not as bad as we make them out to be. They're actually a super-tight band that definitely knows how to play their instruments. So to be fair, I thought I'd include a video of them from back in the day. The rumor is that this is the performance that got Brummel to sign them. I can believe it.
Finally, tonight at the VMAs you'll see the first (and according to them, the only) live performance of OK Go - Here It Goes Again. I'm not even going to explain this, just watch the video. AWESOME.
That's it for now. Both Chainsaw and I will be watching the VMAs tonight, so we'll give you our thoughts in the next day or so. Don't stress if you can't watch them yourself, MTV will have them on permanent loop for the next 8 months.
