how excited do you think mr. schur and mr. devoe are right now about that huge debut from new found glory this week? 40k! thats only about 106k LESS than what their last album catalyst did first week. whoops. at least jordan learned how to sing and not sound like a 12 year old boy this time around. between the angels & airwaves record (400k), the pink spiders record (43k) and now the new found glory record, one should expect the lights to go off at the suretone offices any day now. im sure daddy jimmy is not so pleased.

is there a worse vj/tv personality right now than steven from fuse? i just cant take it anymore. hey dude....just because you drop a fugazi or black flag reference every now and then doesnt mean these bands like you. he is the modern day equivalent of adam curry hosting headbangers ball. where is our version of riki rachtman to come in and rip shit? oh, and speaking of headbangers ball, have you watched that show lately? i hate roughly 100% of the bands they play, but their host (jamey jasta) really knows his shit. he sings for hatebreed. no comment on that one.

i hate mashups. any asshole with protools or audition or soundforge or saw or cool edit can take biggie and the killers and make some mashup magic. you guys arent djs or producers. please dont forget that. that being said and proving that i am a total hypocrite, i do kinda like these guys. the legion of doom from venice. fun little emo mashups and a decent gnarls/raconteurs remix. plus, they are from venice, so that means they are pretty much members of the dogtown and zboys posse, so i back that shit for days.

and what would be a lyingintraffic post without a youtube link? here is ben folds covering "such great heights."
